Alternatives to every website copier
Every number on these pages comes from our own reproducible benchmark (npm run bench:rivals), rendered with the original server unreachable.
Most “alternatives” lists are affiliate pages. These are not: each one starts from what the incumbent tool was built to do, names the pages where it still wins, and only then explains where an in-browser capture behaves differently. HTTrack is unbeaten at crawling a static site unattended; wget is unbeaten at being on every server already; SingleFile inlines assets at any size and holds its own on plain pages.
What all three share is the assumption that a page is a set of files. On a site whose content, layout or fonts arrive after JavaScript runs, that assumption is the whole problem — and it is why the gap between tools opens on theme-built and framework-built pages rather than on articles.
Read the HTTrack alternatives if you are mirroring sites, the SingleFile alternatives if you already capture in the browser and want an editable export, and the website copier overview for the measured table behind every claim here.
